Veterans Dive Center

Our founder, Jay Riffe, recognized the need for better performing equipment and started building spearguns in his garage in Dana Point, California. In 1979, RIFFE International Inc. was established and has since remained a family-owned and operated brand, deeply rooted in the ocean community of San Clemente, California, not far from its modest beginnings.

Wood is a beautiful and challenging material to work with. Fluctuation in temperature and humidity combined with underwater use can make wood swell and contract. With over 40 years of building spearguns using various types of wood, we've got the wood speargun manufacturing process down.

When you purchase a RIFFE speargun, you know it is built to withstand years of spearfishing adventures. We love hearing from those who purchased spearguns from Jay when he was building them decades ago in his garage and are still in use today by the next generation.
